FERLO TECH use many different technologies to illuminate your aerospace machinery operating interface, in addition to the basic components, including:
- LED： LEDs are most commonly used for backlight buttons, icons and symbols. LEDs are also commonly used as indicator lights. The LED and light guide overlay can be used in combination with our proprietary close bonding to backlight the entire surface of the user interface.
- Electroluminescence（EL)（Electroluminescent Display，ELD）It is a display technology that uses electroluminescence. Electroluminescence (EL) refers to the optical and electrical phenomena of light emitted by a material when an electric current or a strong electric field passes through it. The basic principle of this type of display is to sandwich a suitable luminescent material (such as gallium arsenide) between two layers of conductors; when current flows, the material layer emits visible light.
- Optical fiber： Provide a flexible backlighting layer, which can be incorporated between the key sheet and the circuit layer, so that the entire surface area of the membrane switch is uniformly backlit.
- Light guide : Evenly distribute the light of the top or side emitting LEDs, thereby providing bright and uniform illumination. It also reduces the number of LEDs required, thereby saving power consumption.
